Virginia Bourbon Lottery

Virginia isn’t known to be the best hunting grounds for bourbon, so if you’re stuck in the state you need to be in the lottery. We could take a minute to rant on how the typical lotto is a tax on the uneducated and the poor, but we’ll save that for another day.

The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control is holding the lottery for Pappy Van Winkle and other limited allocation bourbons, the Virginia Bourbon Lottery .

Last year, over 25,000 entries were submitted. You might be thinking it’s a waste of time to enter the Virginia Bourbon Lottery, and you might be right, but if you don’t enter you certainly won’t win. There are over 2000 bottles available this year, 1:10 or 1:15 odds aren’t too shabby.

You must be a resident of Virginia with a valid VA Driver’s License to collect on any winnings they may receive in the Virginia Bourbon Lottery.
